So in your quest to improve the track you are willing to give up 3ft along the entire length of the track? Not 'best use of space' is it?
That said my idea won't work. If we moved the rostrum back, the (public) path behind race control would need to be in front instead, and that means there would still need to be a fence there. So the improved view of the track is through the fence which isn't great either.
And this is the point of what I'm doing here. Its not naysaying or negativity - its called thinking stuff through. Simple plain reality is that there are NO perfect solutions, we can't please everybody and every plan has its downsides. What needs to be done it to consider the various pro's and con's and decide what is in the best interests of the club. Which I might point out isn't always the same as the interests of a few loud mouthed forum users
