Hi

I think I have sorted this one, they have lengthed the spring to 5 coils, as standard it does seem too long to start with. I had to take the diff apart and compress the spring much more heavily handed than 3 times to get it to compress and make it about 1-2mm shorter than the the spring comes new (compared this to the replacement one I bought...which was same length...so I didn't have wrong spring as it turns out). After I had done that, and then rebuilt diff, then put it in the car and tightened/slacked the diff off a few times I have managed to get the spring to the point that it doesn't bind at all on the dogbone end(test this by detaching shocks from arms and see if they move up and down 100% freely on both sides).

Worth noting when building new, as mentioned by others above, I think you could probably get in the same place by running the diff in for a few races, till the spring wears in, but you'd have to put up with a bit of binding on one side.

Thanks for all the responses chaps.

cheers
