I can second that :
I use 1257 and 1285 savox servos together with tekin esc's
I used to have a spektrum tx/rx module for my 3VCS futaba transmitter.
and then I needed capacitors or I got alot of brownouts when turning the steering left to right a few times
It was better with the capacitors, however the spektrum module still gave me alot of problems on the far ends on some circuits
so i switched to all futaba rx/tx module and then no more problems

so you could conclude it is more a combination of servo-reciever-esc that causes the brownouts, because after dumping de spektrum and switching to the futaba module the problems went away.
Simply blaming the servo would be drawing the wrong conclusion in my experience
In my case the spektrum reciever seemed more fragile to the powerpeaks of the servo than the futaba one.

that said I think the savox 1257 and 1258 servo's are one of the fastest and most powerfull within their pricerange
I would say that's one of the reasons why they also take more current.
just make sure your combo esc and reciever are up for that.
