@Lee: I don't see any holes in the Spec B DIMEC chassis that suggests future compatability with horizontal shorties - without mods that is of course
So that means either it's not on the horizon, the V2 would have an alu chassis, or the V2 is not to be released for a while (the last of which going by the recent price drop sounds unlikely to me).

And just as a small bit of thought/speculation... I think Durango might be offering their own optional (carbon) towers in the future, but keep the plastic ones on/in as standard - that, or another scenario where together with the V2 they also release a V2R? It's the way to make sure Durango can deliver both bang for the buck and high end bling stuff out of the box to try and keep customers away from the InTech ER-12 and the Proken S1.
