3M VHB (Very High Bond) tape is the best i've found.... we use it at work to stick stuff together that end up on the side of buildings etc, it 'cures' from the moment it is first applied & reaches full bonding strength about 24hrs later. I dare say that some of the 'branded' R/C tape is the same stuff, comes in different thickness which would in theory give different levels of 'give'/cusioning effect
