I feel the same way, If I am racing a scale buggy, truck, etc.. I expect to race it run it on a scale surface/track.
The local track I attended was all dirt
with the exeptions of some pieces of carpet on the jumps to protect them. But the weather here got unbearable so the owner decided to cover it up entirely with carpet.. blue carpet
The track obviously was never the same again; no more rooster tails of dirt and the occional flying rock pebbles, it was just not as interesting
