They did a few versions of that speedo, all of which looked quite similiar...
I don't know whether it is the super sport version, or full version. However, for someones first car, it might be worth trying a 19 (spec) turn motor. I think for sure that it would run this. That speedo did come with 'plug' in chips, which could turn down the power of the speedo (very useful for 2wd off-road).
