Yeah, they weren't the most robust ESCs in the world. A competitor in the 90s got a 410K, wasn't long before we discovered that hitting the side of his buggy would switch his 410K off.
If the ebay seller just connected them up to make sure they work, and a more reasonable starting price, he would have no problem shifting them.
