Some of the A-finalist are runnng 8.5 with the timing is boosted. oil's on motor is boosted or he wouldn't be as quick. My speedo a tekin rs pro cannot do as much boosting (it will do some) as the the newer ones so there would be no benefit in going to anything slower than a 8.5.
The main issue for me is the tyre wear and the tyres going off as they get too hot.
