kV rating is only an indication of rpm per volt, it does not indicate power or torque so wouldn't use it to try and compare motors across the different manufacturers.
I had a cheap Fusion 6.5T motor for a buggy when returning to hobby, it was rated at 7600 kV or something daft, back to back with an LRP X12 6.5T which was 5500 ish kV the LRP was miles quicker top end plus smoother and pulled out of corners a lot better.
The Pro 4 is also a 540 size can so the advantage with these is around 50g weight saving on a 550 size motor.
I used an LRP 4.5T X12L 550 in my 4WD SCT and it was just mental, compared to buggies they just feel like Group B rally cars! wouldn't go that far again with one!
Danny's Durango is very quick with his set up so would listen to his advise on motor choice, it gets to the point that too much power on our high bite tracks just means chewing through tyres faster, higher temperatures to cope with and a harder to tame beast.
