For what it's worth Critch, I think you have made a good choice as a starter car there and a good deal to boot. The b4.1 have good residual values for when you want to step up a gear or even get the mid motor conversion, whichever you choose.

The best advice I can give you is don't be shy! Ask for as much advice as you can, you will never to left to fend for yourself. Finally, the single most important thing i have been told ( but only just fully appreciating ) are TYRES = 95% of car set up. Get them right and you will find you can master the art of getting round steadily and build from there! Good luck and welcome to the family!
