All I can say, if you are looking to get one, look deep into your specific demands and their priority, then see if some drivers trust you trying their car for a lap or two. Test several different ones and if you like one in particular, test several examples of that car.
Today I drove the Losi 22 for the first time and the X6 for the first time with a wheel transmitter - in fact I got to test two Losi 22s, and it immediately showed how it runs on different setups
It's a very practical approach and a fun one! You might even learn one or two things about the setup of your current car (for example I noticed how much I have to 'work' my own car into getting around consistently).
