Most of my collection has come to me in poor shaper. Very few cars of mine came to me in shelf condition so for me it's just time and energy. That's the beauty of the things. You pull them down, clean them up then rebuild them. It's not that hard really.
I've driven or flown thousands of kilometres to make these events with months in the planning. Very few of my cars have ever let me down and after the rebuild they go back into storage.
Opportunities for vintage meetings don't come up all that often. Getting some cars dirty/muddy has been the least of my problems.
