Hi Mike,
How confident are you with a drill? The conversion will come with a template for re-drilling the chassis, as the T-brace swaps sides, you will also need to countersink it. It isn't such a tough task with a pillar drill, but wouldn't like to do it by hand.

Personally I recommend the already converted chassis, its also a good chance to get a spare chassis cheap i.e. you can always build it up to the new chassis, and still convert your current too, either way your car will need to be striped down.

Edit: We've never really chatted at York, but do come over and will give advice on anything with your car. I won't be at Teesside but Dan will - so do go and see his chassis Mike.
