Hi Mike,
How confident are you with a drill? The conversion will come with a template for re-drilling the chassis, as the T-brace swaps sides, you will also need to countersink it. It isn't such a tough task with a pillar drill, but wouldn't like to do it by hand.
Personally I recommend the already converted chassis, its also a good chance to get a spare chassis cheap

i.e. you can always build it up to the new chassis, and still convert your current too, either way your car will need to be striped down.
