I'm a newbee to the 22 as well (in fact, I am a newbee overall only having started racing last summer), on my first outing the 22 was HORRIBLE... However, I later tried this setup:

And it really worked for me! It was great!!!

I suspect it isn't the best setup as it is for carpet as well as wood and I am racing on just carpet. I simply went with it because I had front green and rear white springs. But it does work great compared to what I initially had which basically was like trying to steer a cruise liner!

FWIW, I found that setup to have plenty of steering and it wasn't overly aggressive either. Seemed very easy to control! Despite the fact that I could do with a looser diff...
