Thats ok on the rears Lee but may damage the shell on the steering. My advice would be,you could try the four inch nails but don't hammer them straight through? :-))
Even better if you use screws you could wind them in and out to suit what track your racing on. You don't have to thank me i'm glad to help:-)).
