I don't have a K1 but it may still be relevant to try... It helps a lot on my 2WD to work with the mounting holes on the shock towers* - Perhaps put the rear shocks more diagonal and if needed the front ones more vertical/upright?
*My 2WD suffered from a lack of steering and I solved it by loosening the end up a bit with more upright/vertical dampers - I moved them by only one hole and the understeer was gone!
