Rob, 4.5-6.5 will be uncontrollable for you, far too fast.
Get something tamer like at 10.5, or even a 13.5 for starters, maybe an 8.5max or 7.5 absolute maximum for Batley outdoors (end March), and most likely have to turn the throttle end point down. You will be faster and progress quicker with a 10.5. Batley indoor track is very slippery in places and too much grunt will be detrimental, even in 4wd.
It's very tempting to stick the fastest thing in, most new or returning people do it, but it's a backwards step trying to control it. Milder/slower is faster!
