I tend to find the liquid threadlocks a pain in the bum with it being hard to control the amount that is applied, usually using too much.
I use Loctite 248 which comes in a Prit Stick type dispenser and is much easier to use and lasts for ages, but is probably a bit stronger than I'd like but as its easy to control the amount you apply just use a bit less. It's like a gel and is easily applied.

As a general rule of thumb with Loctite threadlockers anything in the 22x range (221,222,225 etc) are low strength, 24x medium strength and 27x high strength and considered to be permanent!!! I would never ever use anything from the 27x on RC stuff, you'll require heat to break the threadlock!!!

Don't forget to clean all parts that will be threadlocked with a electrical/brake cleaner beforehand.
