Having stuck my thumbs to tyres several times and got fed up with it I cheated and bought an RPM 1/10 off road tyre gluing jig.
1) Degrease tyre
2) Lightly key bead of rim with wet & dry then clean and degrease
3) Mount tyre on rim
4) Place in bottom half of jig, place top on jig, push down lightly to expose bead and apply 4-6 drops of superglue around bead. Release pressure on top half of jig tyre comes up and glue gets forced round entire circumference of rim.
5) Allow to dry and repeat on other side
Nice professional looking job without getting your fingers stuck!
