You know what lads i am throwing it out there because i think it a pity nobody it seems is interested in traveling for National rounds and most would rather stay and race in one venue all year round. In my mind now it doesnt even make sence to have a National series at one venue just to have numbers when there are a number of venues out there looking to host rounds. Where is the challenge in one venue, how does this develop the class and you as a driver/mechanic. Me personally I would much rather race at different tracks tackle different obstacles try and work on new setups then race at one track which varies very little.
To be far not everyone is happy racing at the Naul. For me personally the Naul doesnt do anything for me , i am not excited about racing there and i dont feel benefit me in any way to race there week in week out. Happy to race every now and again but not every week. Thats not to take away from the work that has been done by everyone in the club sofar, fair play but for me this is where i stand.
There are a number of comments pointing to the rccaoi and seeing sence with regards venues doing whats best for the sport. For me personally i see that as utillizing venues available to us and running these different tracks, supporting other clubs trying if we can to raise the profile of the class Nationally. Trying to build up relationships with other clubs, bring concerns or ideas to the table for are classes needs so in time we can develop are racing. To turn our backs on what is available because of one bad days racing its a crying shame. There are 52 weeks in the year lads and for most you wont even for 3 or 4 of those weekends try somewhere new which is a shame. Before someone has a bitch about anything i have said, this is aimed at all drivers be it in the south or the north, we are all guilty in some respects with regards to supporting series outside of our clubs be it the Irish National / brca Regionals and even the winter series to an extent. There are always guys looking for these events to happen think its a great thing and then dont turn up to the extent that there was no winter series and most likely but not confirmed no Brca regionals this year which is a shame. Whats going to be next the Irish National??
