I think the rules do work well as they are - I was just playing devils advocate
We should probably update the rules to include the new TEU-105BK which has a built in BEC (finally!) to only shove 6v into the receiver and will come standard with any new M05

You can get slow brushless motors - but I think the cost would be too prohibitive - every Tamiya kit comes with an ESC and motor anyway.
Also the list of regulations still shows the carbon gear shafts as banned - I thought we re-thought that to help with the gearbox issues we have all suffered at some point?
