I presume the threads on the shock shafts are M3, if so then the thread pitch is only 0.5mm. If the ballcups are 0.2mm too big then you're verging on the female thread being a clearance fit!! So this is technically a fault, but someone has obviously deemed that it can be used.
It will be interesting how Schuey deal with this, if at all. A small issue but one that could of easily been avoided.
