I'm using the avid steering rack on my car as are a few other vega drivers, great addition to the car. As to it being used in dirt no reason why not if the X6 works.
In the uk we are on high grip astro and carpet etc, have a look at some set ups on petit Rc and maybe some dirt set up there?
Or use the B4 dirt set up and tune from there??
