If You have a complete spare rear motor gearbox and bulkhead etc built up ready to bolt on then you can change configuration fairly quickly.

If you just have a single kit then not really as you have to swap gears into another gearbox and suspension hardware over to rear motor... Plus cut the bodyshell to fit!

I found it easier to have 2 cars, at least you have plenty of spares if needed.
