Correct. The basic idea is that say you poled the A and then have an accident on the first corner and fail to finish, meaning you would be 10th, then with the old system of points for finals and qualifying mixed together would mean your hard work through qualifying would be pretty much wasted.

With them counting as seperate rounds then it means you could probably drop that tenth in the A and it would get replaced with a better result assuming you do the other meetings.

Essentially to qualify for the championship final standings you still have to attend at least three meetings, but it gives you more round scores to drop if you attend all four meetings. What I am also hoping is that it will mean that the fight for the championship will go into the last meeting and not be finished done and dusted at the end of meeting 3.

I chose this method because we only have four meetings as opposed to the usual 6.
