Hi Tony, thanks for the input.

I have compressed/released both the slipper and diff spring about half a dozen times before final assembly... an old trick I learnt while building diffs maaaaaany moons ago. I did not hold it compressed for a bit though I have to admit, and I build my diffs the non-standard way ie I tighten it progressively (as opposed to making it bottom-out and then back out). I will do as you suggest as I rebuild it for the next race. Who knows, maybe I'll find sthing else too.

Do you confirm the diff is the exact same one as the RB5's (materials)???
