Sure! The choice of pinions you can use with one type of spur gear is quite limited with this design. Yokomo has solved this problem to a certain extend with the
new version included in the B-Max4II Worlds Spec and the latest WN version.
(imagine a 2wd motor mount with one small and one long mounting hole vs. the currently popular version with two long mounting holes)
I'm still using the old cast aluminum version and of course it works, but it is one of the features that really were worth improving. Maybe this will be one of the first issues Xray will adress in their future annual updates!

On the other hand, the Xray version may be able to accommodate a wider range of pinions if it is possible to rotate the motor further - which again might cause some issues due to the cables or solder tabs being in the way...
