Mine are well over a seaon old, I renew the pins every couple of months so have have minimal wear. The standard ones cause vibration due the the excessive angle the run at and wear really quick. So in the long run they are well worth it.
The car does run smoother and it's alot quieter, best upgrade you could buy IMO.
