To be honest, they're not really
that exposed - running in rear-motor configuration they're a lot more exposed and would have greater chance of being hit than that. Your sensor wire is the most exposed.
If you're worried about it, get a small piece of lexan and glue it to the body for some extra protection as a shield.
But honestly, I wouldn't be worried about it. I ran mine like that (same body, same configuration) all last winter and never had a problem.
