The durango will be a bit noisier than most due to the metal ring gears. Even with the machined ring gears, djoints, my car stills howls down the straight (which may or may not be to do with the turbo timing ).

Make sure there are no seized bearings anywhere, as this can be a source of excessive noise as well.
