I bought a new set of front driveshafts recently and one side was binding causing the drive pin to be pulled out every other run. The other side didn't bind but the pin came out and neither pins had moved and the grub screw was still tight???
I bought a new dogbone to replace the shaft that was binding luckily I had new axles as the in my box as they got chewed up too much to use. I'll be taking this up with TD as they were definitely sub standard.
I never had any issues with the original kit shafts, I've changed nothing on the car from day one.
This begs the question, are TD sacrificing quality control slightly to help them mass produce their now vast product range? There was virtually zero issues when they only had the 410.
I know a fellow racer ditched TD cars for Kyosho due to the quality issues he had on his V3 compared to his original 410 in particullar the higher wear rate on the transmission parts.
I'm not bashing TD before anyone gets on their high horse with rose tinted TD glasses!!
