Check you haven't lost the little spacer piece that goes between the motor plate and the housing on one of the screws. If its missing the gearbox will tweak when the screws to the motor plate are tightened.

Also the aluminium spacer tube on the layshaft gradually gets "squished" up the layshaft by the slipper tension. The fix is to put a steel shim on the face of the tube, but an according amount has to be removed from the tube first. If a shim has beem fitted without filing the tube down first then the layshaft bearings get pre-loaded.
