Mate of mine (at 17) had a Volvo 440 Turbo, in purple IIRC. Cost him about £90 to insure (this is a while ago). A similar aged person (me) was quoted £550 for a 1.0l Nova........... i stuck with the bus, cycling and walking. Until i was about 27.
Thankfully i pay eff all/nothing for insurance now.
