I actually liked your grip rolling, gave me some hope
(only kidding, with a brushed TL01 I have no hope at all)
My rally car still isn't ready, although I did fashion some bumpers out of packing foam, old body posts, and bottle tops
Really the only thing missing is to fix some "crappy" soldering that I did that didn't hold up
Will surely have it done in two weeks
May give it a go then... But really, if you were grip rolling, then the TL01 with its super high CG brick like chassis will be no fun.
As far as the slowtastic Traxxas buggy, I finally got fed up of the wing wire and fitted a Mad Rat wing mount to it. No more driving round with a collapsed wing, or worse still no wing at all... Even though I am sure it is easier to find indoors I didn't fancy that again.
Also replaced the wheel bearings (found some spares, had a whole set!), ran two rounds of qualifying and a final with a massively wobbly wheel... I'm amazed the whole thing didn't shake itself apart! Well it nearly did, as a wheel nut literally fell into my hand as inspected the damage after the final!
