Imo it's a very good set, the PS3 and Wii look superb on it. My only niggle is the sound isn't amazing, it's good but wont set your ears on fire. It was given 5 stars on everything but sound on the reviews i read a while ago. It has 8000:1 contrast ratio, which is very good.
The full HD sets have just come down in price and the new Samsung has a 15000:1 contrast ratio, which is on par with plasma, but mine was £630 + £70 for a big glass stand from Dixons using some special codes
