By the time you have bought the connectors, the proper wire, the crimper and taken several attempts to make a good one, it will cost you more than a new cable. Don't solder the wires into the pins as this will be a failure point due to cracking of the wires where the solid bit full of solder meets the flexible bit of the wire. HTH
