Default Questions about restoring old Schumachers

Hi everyone, yet another person has dragged their old Schumacher's out of the loft with a view to restoration.

I've got an XLS with various spares which has been stored in its component state, and a Bosscat Works which is complete apart from two broken one-way driveshafts. The intention is to rebuild the XLS, possibly get some more parts from ebay or wherever to build my spares into a Procat (already have the chassis) and just for sh*ts and giggles, rebuild the Bosscat and go racing!

Q1) The XLS chassis is broken so I have bought some FRP sheet and intent to make a replacement. I'm good with my hands making things manually, but I'm also pretty good on CAD, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a company that can make small batch custom parts from FRP in a similar way to Fibrelite with carbon fibre?

Q2) The chrome wheels have at some point been painted over in matt black spray paint. Any ideas what I could use to remove the black without destroying the chrome?

Q3) The original XLS screws are pretty battered and I'd like to rebuild it as a (nearly) shelf queen, so new screws are planned. I like the idea of domed allen-head screws, but I really don't want to change to a machine thread from the original self-tapper. Has anyone found a suitable allen head self tapper?

And ofcourse if you have any other hints, tips or advice then please feel free to tell me!

PS: I did a search, but couldn't find anything obvious. Feel free to redirect me to any threads which already cover these questions.
