i am not sure where you are getting your specs from, the dx6i along with all the 2.4ghz systems output at 100mw in the EU and 200mw in the USA, there is/was i believe a different output for france, anyone who has a dx6i will know there is a menu selection for eu or USA. the reason for the difference is that the different bodies (FCC in the US) came up with a power output that they wanted within their jurisdiction. spektrum then made the radio to fit in to the markets they wanted to sell in. hence the selectable power output

equally the sanwa 2.4 system also outputs at 100mw aircraft or surface, i cannot find anywhere if this is selectable to the higher power allowed by the FCC.
