I am confused..... know it does not take much but below is lifted from the BRCA Handbook
4.6 Applications to host a National event, Indoor Final, Junior.& Veterans’ Championship or End of Season Final, must be received by the date of the Section AGM. Applications must include full details of the venue, including : pitting area, toilet facilities, rostrum design/suitability, race control facilities, local accommodation, policy for camping/caravans and advice on suitable control tyres if applicable. Details of standards required can be obtained from the Section Secretary. Sanctioned events can only be granted by the Committee. The calendar of events will be published in January of each year. Dates are subject to force majeure and the approval by the Committee of the venue and organiser.
- So based on the above how can clubs not on the minutes list get a national for next year?
- If this does happen and your club that has put in and does not get a national can you appeal?
If the above were to happen in my view it could only harm 2009 applications as why would you apply if clubs can apply when they want and adhere to no deadlines........
Not wishing to stir but i would be gutted if my club did not get a nation next year
