They are not JRX2 shocks, which had a sealed top end, and you put the oil in through the bottom with a screw-in o-ring cartridge to seal it. They were grey anodised ali also.
They do look like old associated RC10 shocks to me.
The JRX2 was released in 1988. I had one of the first UK released JRXT's, which straight away I converted to a JRXPro, which was basically a JRX2 with a longer chassis, and removed the 5 link suspension. It was a fantastic car, wish I still had it, but i sold it on to buy a 1:1 car in 1992.
