The thing about conversions like the Vega, Centro, DB1 or best example of all the original X6 is that the real cost can be (slightly) hidden by buying in stages (donor then conversion). In fact, the original theory behind the X6 was that you already had the B4 you were going to convert, or at least got a cheap used car. It was only when people started buying mint FT's that the cost skyrocketed.

But thats the irony here. An X6^2 complete car is £300, and converting an FT even more. For years X-Factory dominated 2wd, the X6 was THE car to have, and yet now you can get and compete with £200 Durangos, Schumachers and Losi's.

Just because the latest 'must have' car is pricy doesn't actually mean all 2wds will shoot up in price. Incidentally the X6 remains competitive against the whole crop of current 2wds, so its unlikely the RB6 will make your cheaper 210s, SV2s or 22s obsolete either.
