the first rb5 had the same price but the newer ones (SP2, SP2WC) had normal prices. Kit price istnt the problem, I bought the RB5 when it came out in the US and paid 30 € more than a B4 would have been, but it is not the biggest fun to look for spare parts and tuning parts in many different countries just because you have to pay twice as much for some parts in any EU shop.
Kyosho stuff in general isnt super expensive looking at the nitro 8 scale stuff ists very reasonable priced aswell as most kits. And not every 2WD spare part is very expensive, just a few parts are far from normal, most plastic parts are cheaper than Losi but most steel parts are more expensive than any other brand
