Hi Mark.
It would seem that most people are putting the Rx in front of the battery pack, and changing to a smaller lipo, or putting the Speedo opposite the motor and battery pack in front. The speedo or rx then sit between the motor and servo on that side depending on room.
Generally, from what I have seen, added weight is put in the rear of the chassis, to aid traction and balance (anywhere between 40-80g). Tuning weights (5-10g) are added side to side to balance corner weights.
putting everything on the lower deck means lower c of g, and a tidier install. You can also run some more funky shells from the phat bodies range without the speedo on the top deck :-)
