Maybe i drive way too slow? lol 10.5T brushless in my buggy.. and I sometimes win the heats in my club.
I also run a 10.5 both indoors and out. It's too fast for my regular indoor track and Cullingworth, so I gear down, remove ESC boost, and turn EPA down. It's also plenty quick enough for outdoors at Batley, where I gear up, give it loads of boost on the speedo and remove EPA limits.

Tyre wear could be how you drive, but most likely the surface. Some carpets can give excessive tyre wear. At Cullingworth we run mostly on polished rubber lino floor with some carpet pieces. It seems the well worn balding Schumacher yellow minispikes work best here for me, which is good given i go through lots outdoors at Batley.
I've not had much success with yellow minispikes though, but others like them. Schumacher yellow full spikes are really good on 4wd. They wear pretty well too. I preferred the worn minispikes on my 2wd, but I may give full spikes another try.
