Hyper 7's are great cars and pretty much bomb proof but there are a few mods you can do to them to make them go a lot better. Here's a list of what I did to mine
CNC Steering knuckles the standard cast alloy ones are made of cheese and I found they broke if I even looked at them funny.
T Bone Racing front bumper
Hobao white springs up front and 45w associated shock oil in the front and rear shocks mainly because it was the only grade of oil I had at the time
3k diff oil up front 5k in the middle and either 1 or 2k (can't remember it was a while ago) in the rear.
Proline high downforce rear wing
CVD's at the rear
Ditched the pullstart mechanism and fitted the replacement backplate, this meant I had to start the engine with a starter box but that's not really a hassle unless you don't own one
Savox 0252 servo for steering coupled to a metal servo horn
I fitted the CNC wheel hubs, I couldn't tell you if they made one bit of a difference but they looked cool and are a few grams lighter than the stock ones
I only ever had one shock tower bend on me once and it was easy enough to re-straighten and I never bothered to replace it or get the uprated hyper ST ones.
There's a long bolt that goes through the bottom of the rear wing mount (if I remember correctly) and these bend if you manage to send the car cartwheeling along so I'd keep an eye on that.
I used to run my car on Astro so I ran yellow Schumacher mini pins in the dry and Spirals in the wet (possibly silver compound again I can't remember 100%)
Other than that all you should need is fuel, a couple of spare glowplugs and keep the receiver pack fully charged and you'll be laughing.
