The one on the left is a very old revision, there has been a couple of newer revisions and at least two different hop-up versions (kevlar and CF), at least for TeamC.
The latest one has a screw between the steering bearings that attaches to a new top plate with a place for the screw.
I've been running the newest for some time no, has not broken yet. Seems to be the strongest one of the different versions (including the hop-up versions), at least it has been for my crashes so far.
