What to run in your shocks also depends a little on your overall set-up and whether you are running the car in mid or rear motor format.

I would agree that you may want to change from the kit set-up if running on astro and found that a #55 piston with blue spring and 35wt oil on the front and #54 piston with yellow spring (kit) and 27.5wt (bumpy track) or 30wt (smooth track) oil worked well on a mid or rear motor layout.


As for oil, the only thing I would recommend is that you stick with the same make as oil between manufacturers seems to vary. I have always liked the Losi oil as it's coloured which makes it easy to identify what your running.
