Fits mine ok. I think the gap your refering to is at the front underside, if so i just filled it with a bit of thin foam. Kept all the stones out of mine. Admitted its a bit close to the battery for me but as i already had it i stuck it on. Wasnt keen on the kit colours and wanted my colours. Would of prefered a clear shell to paint ,but hey ho
