I've tried a LOT of different 4WD cars, and I just never stop being amazed by the XX4 handling!
It has a perfect weight distribution and suspension geometry. And keep in mind the placement of the motor, way up front. Which has a "gyroscopic" effect. What I cannot understand is how it can handle this good being shorter and narrower than current cars!
And don't forget these features as well, that I have yet to see on any other car:
-dual slipper pads with individual adjustment for the front and rear axle
-adjustable "clicker", which gives you the best of both worlds: You have a front diff, yet can get some one-way effect (only rear wheel brake for better corner entry). Yet you have full control in the air, as all 4 wheels accelerate or brake.
After a lot of mods, the car is still very good! Easy to work on when you divide the belt cover. Plus tons of strengthening upgrades +++
Now with LiPos the weight is lower, which saves the belts a bit. But then again with insane power and astro...
The only thing that lacks now is getting hold of some super durable belts! Does anyone know of some 3rd party belts that are stonger then the Losi belts???
Just found these (ordered):
